Dear Radiant,

All systems go….the 10AM experiment is on!

This Sunday we’ll gather at 1130 Stoddard Ave at MJC’s Music Building Recital Hall. We’re excited to see what happens in this new space as we continue to follow Jesus in his mission to make disciples.

Rumor has it there will even be the Kona shaved ice truck to celebrate the occasion.

&…..

We’ll also continue at our normal time and location: 5PM at the ever lovely ELC this Sunday.

Not be outdone by Kona ice, rumor has it there will be some special treats after the 5PM service as well!

Radcov Kids:  This Sunday there will be children’s church at the 10AM for ages 0 – 5th grade.   At the 5PM service we will have the nursery open, ages 0-3

Invite your family, your friends, and your enemies! See you at 10AM or 5PM!

Btw – here’s another, more social media friendly image to share:

THIS SUNDAY!
We are continuing out teaching series on life change.

While last we pondered honestly “do I really want to change?” This week asks a connected question – “ok, so I now I want to change — but what’s my vision for change?….What/ who do I want to become? What am I aiming towards?”

Change is almost possible without an enthralling vision of your potential future.  This Sunday we’ll explore Jesus’ gripping proclamation and demonstration of the Kingdom of God.

WOMEN’S GATHERING – THIS WEDNESDAY
It’s the ladies turn! This Wednesday at ELC fellowship hall 6-7AM.

24 HOURS OF PRAYER – AUGUST 16-17
Sign up on this Google Doc.
In lead up to our 10AM preview service, we are going to pray for 24 hours straight. We’ve done this in the past — but we are going to do it a little bit different this time.  Instead of gathering at ELC, this will be a decentralized 24 hours of prayer.  This means people will sign up for a slot to pray and pray from the own homes, or walking in their neighborhoods, or wherever the Lord leads them.

But we’ll start and end together: we will begin the 24 hours with a gathering for prayer on Friday, 8/16 from 5-6PM at the Mission House: 505 Chabot Ave.  We will end our time by gathering at the MJC campus Recital Hall for prayer from 4-5PM on Saturday evening.

PRAYER GUIDE

For those who have signed up for the 24 hours of prayer — here is link to some current prayer needs and here is a link to our practices as a church that can be prayed through.

BE SURE TO SIGN UP — SPACE IS RUNNING OUT!
BLESSED AND BROKEN: Jesus took the bread, blessed the bread, broke the bread, and gave the bread. These four words not only summarize the life of Jesus but are central to our spiritual lives as well. Join us for an unforgettable weekend with other women where we dive into what it means to live as chosen, blessed, broken, and given children of God.  This conference is hosted at Mission Springs conference center in Scotts Valley, CA and will be a gathering of women from many Covenant churches in our region.  Register here: https://www.missionsprings.com/camp-event/womens-conference/

BAND APP

One way to connect at Radiant is to join our BAND APP group.  Think of this as a sort of Radiant message board — our own little social media space. People can extend invites, share about needs and opportunities.
