Dear Radiant,
As we continue our Lenten journey through Luke we will encounter some animals.
That is, within a few short verses in Luke 13, Jesus describe a ruthless king in Herod as a fox and himself as a mother hen, longing to gather her chicks.
In context, his words are incredibly bold. In a violent world, Jesus speaks somehow both courageously and gently as he speaks of a different kingdom way.
Yet in our (still violent) world we need to be reminded of the way of the mother hen — of a God who longs to gather us unto himself. The question is, we will yield and let ourselves be gathered in OR will we take the cunning way of the fox?
We are excited to hear teaching from Kyle Tanuma this week. Kyle is a part of our community and is a missionary with A Jesus Mission. By the way, Kyle and friends have been working hard (they’re getting close) to open Kingdom Coffee — a cafe with a beautiful vision to “stimulate a culture of generosity, share the hope of the gospel, and cultivate a life-giving space.” Read more here.

To represent the body of Christ coming together in unity, Ellie Gundlach and Colton Reed would be honored to have their church family attend their wedding ceremony. Scheduled for March 29th at 4:30, anyone is invited to witness their vows and take part in communion. They hope to see you there!
