Dear Radiant,

We will boisterously, resolutely, and defiantly proclaim the resurrection this Sunday.

Our declaration is not that everything is “fine” in our world (of course it is not), but that Love has plundered death and Light has conquered darkness.

Even now—especially now—the resurrection hope of Jesus is solace in our grief.

The words of 17th-century English poet George Herbert are just about right:

Arise, arise,
And with his burial linen dry thine eyes.
Christ left his grave clothes, that we might, when grief
Draws tears or blood, not want a handkerchief.

Join us this Sunday at 10am at MJC, where we will say with one voice:
“He is risen indeed!”

Peace be to you!

-Zach

Community Notes

RADIANT ADOPTION INTO THE COVENANT – This is an exciting moment for the church — Radiant is being adopted into the Evangelical Covenant Church this summer. It begins by Radiant being adopted into the Pacific Southwest Conference on the 25th of April at the Conference annual meeting in Davis, CA. In June, we will be adopted into the larger denomination on the 25th in Scottsdale, AZ. Anybody up for a roadtrip? We’d love to have anyone from Radiant join us — talk to Zach if interested.

BAND APP – One way to connect to the Radiant community is to join our BAND APP group. Think of this as a sort of Radiant message board — our own little social media space. People can extend invites, share about needs and opportunities.

Giving

Thank you for your generosity and partnership in Radiant’s ministry!

For the remainder of this Lenten Season we are also partnering with a ministry in Nepal (Three Angels Nepal)  that provides care for women rescued from trafficking.  You can select this option from the pull down menu on the giving link.

Giving link

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:7-8
