Hey Radiant,
Do you know someone who especially good at giving gifts?
My aunt Cate is that person in my life. She somehow knows the thing that you want that you didn’t even know you wanted. The perfect book, the tasteful cardigan, the insightful event tickets.
People like this have amazing intuitions — gifted gift givers you might say.
God is same way. He gives good gifts — in the right way at the right time.
I like how Jesus points this out in his unmistakable Jesus way:
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11
The testimony of scripture illustrates over and and over again that God is a generous, giving God.
God gives us life in creation, he gives us his son Jesus in redemption, and gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit to walk in newness of life.
He gives and he gives and he gives. Not because we were owed anything — but because he likes to give.
God gives us himself.
More than that, the gift of the Holy Spirit gives gifts to us. We are given “charisms” or “grace gifts” as disciples of Jesus.
And we are given those gifts that we might give away what we’ve received to bless others.
It’s a gift giving revolution — one that you get to be a part of.

Our hope is that the men at the conference will feel empowered to rise up as husbands, fathers, and men of faith. Despite their feelings, circumstances, or situations, they will seek out God. Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deed.
