Hey Radiant!
REMINDER – We are meeting this Sunday at 1PM for a one-off time change.
Why do this? Well, we want people, disciples of Jesus, to be hanging out with friends and family during a ridiculously culturally significant event — the Super Bowl — which happens to start at 3:30pm.
Our thought is this: instead of competing with the game, why don’t we use the day to have a special pre-game worship gathering where we consider the spirituality of sports in our culture? Or to consider how to party with family and friends like Jesus partied?
And why don’t we throw in a nacho bar while we are at it?
It’s going to be a blast. I am looking forward to worshipping together. I trust that God will use this time in a unique way.
Bring some friends, feel free to wear a jersey of any sport, we’ll see you at 1PM at 324 College Ave.
(To clarify — we will not be watching the game at ELC – our gathering should last from 1-2:15ish.)

MEN’S GATHERING – 2/22 – 6-7AM
This is kind of a last minute thing, but a few of us guys feel an urgent need to gather as men to support and encourage each other in some hard times. We want to extend the invite out to all the dudes: we are going to meet on Ash Wednesday, 2/22 morning from 6-7AM at ELC. We’ll post more details next week. We don’t really have an agenda except to show up with honesty for each other and to earnestly seek God’s face. No pretension, no hiding.
NEWCOMER’S OPEN HOUSE – 3/4 – 3-4PM
Hey, you’ve been hanging out with Radiant a bit! You might be a bit curious about our story, who we are, what we believe before you get more involved. We get it, and we’d love to get to know you too. Jill and I are hosting a Newcomer’s hang at our house – 1128 Mills Ave – on Saturday, March 4 from 3-4PM. This will be a space to ask questions and hear about what it means to journey with Radiant as we continue the adventure of church planting. Let Zach know – zach@radcov.org — if you plan on attending.
CASARA AND GLEN WATSON BABY SHOWER – 3/5 – 2PM
Casara and Glen Watson are having a baby! There will be a ladies only baby shower at ELC on Sunday March 5th at 2PM. They are registered at Amazon and at Target.
WOMEN’S TEA – 3/25 – 10AM – 12PM
Ladies, mark your calendars! More details to follow, but our Women’s Tea event is back — it will be on Saturday 3/25 at ELC from 10AM-12PM.
HOME CHURCHES
Our Home Church groups are smaller communities that meet during the week where we learn to practice the simple way of Jesus. No experience required, all are welcome. We usually share a meal, read scripture, and consider what God is up to in and through our lives.This is a great time to consider plugging into a home as we just restarted in mid-January. If you are interested in learning about available groups and what group might be a good fit for you contact Zach at zach@radcov.org
MEN’S WEEKEND (4/21-4/23) REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
The Men’s Weekend at Mission Springs will soon be here, April 21st-23rd, 2023. Early Bird Discount of $25 – register before February 15th!!! We look forward to your joining us for a time of worship, fellowship and growing in your faith journey as we go ‘Back to Basics’. This is an event put on by our regional denominational conference.
