Friends,
There’s a little bit of Ebenezer Scrooge in all of us. We’ve seen that the world can be a scarce and scary place so we grip things tightly.
We hurry and hoard and make sure to get ours. But when we grip too hard something always gets choked. Like old Ebenezer, we can cut ourselves off from true riches — relationships and communion with others.
But there’s good news for Scrooge, and for us too. A message that will open our hands back up.
Our God doesn’t hurry or hoard, but gives and gives and gives. Wildly so! During Christmas we celebrate the Word Made Fllesh: that in Jesus, God comes to dwell among us.
Jesus, the one born in a stable and placed in animal feeding trough, demonstrates God’s open-handedness and generosity to all of us. We believe this generosity can kick start a revolution in our own hearts.
To practice generosity is to live in the grain with God’s goodness. Join us this Sunday as we continue our Advent series — unwrapping presence — this Sunday at 5pm.

RADIANT YOUTH CHRISTMAS PARTY
Tonight at 7PM! This is a party for middle schoolers and high schoolers! We will meet at The Weave – 820 H Street. We are excited to be joined this time by another local youth group from El Nuevo Pacto Church. Bring a friend!
ADVENT GENEROSITY
We practicing the generosity of Jesus in a special way this season by partnering with two amazing ministries. Locally we’re sponsoring a pizza party for incarcerated youth with Youth for Christ. Globally, we’re helping our brothers and sisters in the Mozambique Covenant Church build a church. Our goal is to raise $2000 for these ministries. We got this! 2nd ANNUAL WINTERFEST – SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18th.
Mark your calendars! On December 18th we will host our 2nd annual Winterfest following Sunday worship. Bonfires, Carols, Food/Drink, Kids crafts and more. This is a chance for us to slow down and celebrate Christmas with the Radiant community and to invite others to join us.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – DECEMBER 24th – 4PM
Note the special time as we celebrate Christmas Eve together. We’ll gather for a candle-light worship service this Holy Night! We will not be holding worship services on Christmas Day.
HOME CHURCHES ARE NOW HOME CHURCHING
Our Home Church groups are smaller communities that meet during the week where we learn to practice the simple way of Jesus. No experience required, all are welcome. We usually share a mean, read scripture, and consider what God is up to in and through our lives.
Currently, we have five different home groups meeting at various times and locations. If you are interested in learning about available groups and what group might be a good fit for you contact Zach at zach@radcov.org
