Dear friends — Holy Week greetings from Radiant!
We have a few things going on this weekend!
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE TONIGHT, 6PM!
Join us tonight at 6pm for a Good Friday service with Redeemer Modesto, as we contemplate the beauty and meaning of Jesus’ crucifixion. We are meeting at 1614 H St, Modesto, CA (Central Seventh Day Adventist Church building).
All welcome: there will be children’s programming as well.
EASTER SUNDAY!
Then on Easter Sunday, we will joyously celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at our normal 10am time at MJC’s recital hall. After service, we will stroll on over to Emanuel Lutheran church for an Easter Brunch. (If you have food to share, you can drop it off at ELC before the worship service).
A WORD ON THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS FROM THE DEAD…
How do we find the words to describe the event that cracked history wide open, that changed the human story forever, and that is still changing lives to this very day? None are adequate, but Hallelujah might be a good place to start.
Here’s some insightful and challenging words from Timothy Keller regarding the resurrection:
“If you are looking at Christianity, start by looking at Jesus’s life as it is shown to us in the gospels, and especially at the resurrection. Don’t begin, as modern people do, by asking yourself if Christianity fits who you are. If the resurrection happened, then there is a God who created you for himself and ultimately, yes, Christianity fits you whether you can see it now or not. If he’s real and risen, then just like Paul, even though he had none of the answers to any of his questions, you’ll have to say, “What would you have me do, Lord?”
See you tonight and Sunday!

Our hope is that the men at the conference will feel empowered to rise up as husbands, fathers, and men of faith. Despite their feelings, circumstances, or situations, they will seek out God. Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deed. REGISTER HERE STARTING FEB. 1st.

EMOTIONALLY HEALTH SPIRITUALITY – COMING THIS JUNE.
Peter Scazzero writes “emotional health and spiritual maturity are inseparable. It is not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.” Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is an invitation to flourish in Christ as we consider what is going on “under the surface” in our lives. This is a 8 week course that will begin the second week of June and end the last week of July on a weekday evening. Sign up here to indicate interest and we will be in touch. If you’ve completed the course — I’ve done it many times — always new things to discover. NEW? GETTING PLUGGED IN…
HOME CHURCH – Is where the really good stuff happens as we grow as disciples of Jesus. You can fill out the form here if interested.
BAND APP
One way to connect at Radiant is to join our BAND APP group. Think of this as a sort of Radiant message board — our own little social media space. People can extend invites, share about needs and opportunities.
