Hi Radiant!
My heart and mind are full from last weekend’s Missio Conference! What a sweet time to connect as three Covenant churches in Modesto. I left motivated to join God’s loving mission in new and fresh ways in my ordinary, everyday life.
And then, what a gift to hear from Grace Shim last Sunday night about presenting our five loaves and two fish to Jesus. My cup, as they say, runneth over!
This Sunday night we are continuing out teaching series, “Multiplying a Movement: Developing and Empowering People like Jesus did.”
The Jesus way of influence is quite different from, well, everybody else’s.
That is, Jesus makes the case that the only way to actually have real power is by giving it away in service. The only way to be first is to be last. The only way to be great is to be the least. This is, simply, how reality works in the kingdom of God.
This Sunday we will be talking about how to actually do that…how to live in confidence that giving your life away for others is the best way to live.
Easy to say and write, quite another thing to live this way. Jesus, help us!

HOME CHURCHES ARE COMING…
Radiant Home Churches are communities of discipleship in the way of Jesus and are foundational to our life as a church. We plan to begin the week of 9/17 — and will share more details in the weeks to come. If you are not currently in a home church, or would like to try a new Home Church, please fill out this interest form, and we’ll follow up with you as the groups take shape.
THE ALPHA COURSE – BEGINS TUES. SEPTEMBER 26 
What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What’s the purpose of life? What’s next?
It’s for those exploring Jesus, for those who are skeptical, for those who want to be refreshed. It is an 10 week course, but you are welcome to come to the first gathering to check it out, no commitment required. This is a great community to invite friends who are exploring faith — all questions welcomed If you’re looking for a judgment-free space to ask hard questions, share your own opinion, or even just observe, there’s a place for you.
