PRACTICING CURIOSITY – THIS SUNDAY!
This Sunday’s teaching is about the practice of curiosity in the way of Jesus. What a curious topic, eh?
Practicing curiosity is how we begin to join in on what God is doing in our world.
Curiosity is paying attention to words spoken and unspoken. Curiosity is asking the extra question. Curiosity is learning to identify the grace of God waiting to break through in every person and every situation.
Of course, curiosity is running low in this polarized world. It is quicker, easier to make snap judgments, put people into categories, or write them off. But this approach isn’t working out so well.
What if that off-putting statement, that weird social media post, is an opportunity to learn? What if your confusion or consternation is a chance for a conversation?
How much we miss right before our eyes!
As we follow Jesus, sent like lambs, we’re called to the way of genuine, curious presence towards others.
Sure, we’ll have to learn to slow down a bit and learn the art of listening, but we’ll go much deeper and further.
Because God is here, the kingdom is at hand! What if we could learn to see it?
SEASON OF PRAYER AT RADIANT
As we prepare the ground for Radiant’s “Grand Opening” on Sunday, September 11th, we are creating several intentional spaces and rhythms of prayer.
We need God’s presence and power more than strategy or method! The way forward begins with prayer.
1) MONDAY MORNING PRAYER MEETINGS – STARTING 8/8 @ 6 AM.
Start your week with morning prayer on Mondays from Aug. 8th through Sep. 5th. Leading up to Radiant’s “Grand Opening” our prayer team will be hosting a zoom prayer meeting. We will be praying that God would empower our witness to Jesus as we follow him on mission. Each meeting will last from 6-6:20AM. Here’s the link: meet.google.com/dvu-mfev-noa
2) NATURALLY SUPERNATURAL WORKSHOP – AUG 27. 1-5 PM.
At Radiant we exist to make disciples of Jesus who are radiant with God’s love and power. But how do we practically operate and walk in the power of God’s Spirit? We are creating some workshop space to learn about living a lifestyle that is both naturally supernatural and not unnecessarily weird.
Pastor Sean Blomquist will be joining us to lead us in a workshop where we learn how to become naturally supernatural through cooperation with the Holy Spirit.

3) 48 HOURS OF PRAYER EVENT
Mark your calendars! We are praying for for 48 hours straight as a church starting Thursday, Sept 8 at 3 PM and ending Sept. 10. at 2:30 PM. Yes, even at 3 AM, we will be praying. We will end our prayer vigil with a communion service from 2:30-3:00 PM. More details to follow in the next few weeks! Sign up for your slot here.
